New equipment for golf course

To increase the course efficiencies and improve the presence of the fairway, the Dunsborough Lakes Resort Golf Course recently purchased equipment worth over $100,000.

Included in the new swag of equipment was a Jacobson greens mower, John Deere tractor, John Deere corer and a John Deere front mower.

Neil Thorpe, Course Superintendent stated that the new equipment had been well received by the staff.

“The new equipment has made maintenance work a lot more pleasant and safer for the staff and this in turn has ensured greater efficiencies, a better cut and a more professional presentation of the golf course,” Neil said.

“The old equipment was well and truly past it’s used by date and the new equipment we have received so far has definitely been a bonus and is performing very well.”

Replacing equipment that was over ten years old, the new machinery will ensure that the fairways are aerated and managed accordingly to our member’s high expectations.
